I woke up this morning to a refreshing start.
6:20 am: Wake up and eat a piece of toast with almond butter
6:30 P90x Ab ripper
6:45 post workout shake and make lunch
7:10 Get Ready for School
8:20 Off to School
I know it seems pretty crazy to wake up at 6:20, but for a doddler such as myself every precious minute is needed in the morning. The post Workout drink I made my this morning is so delish anybody would go bananas for it.
1 medium ripe banana
1 cup of light soy, almond or rice milk
1/3 cup of 0% plain Greek yogurt
1 Tbsp of clear vanilla extract (can also use dark)
1 Vanilla Bean
2 tsp of chia seeds (optional)
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I use whey but plant based works just perfectly too)
Agave to taste
Ice cubes to desired thickness
Add in everything in blender, leaving protein powder for last
Blend & enjoy
Note: Want to make this shake more of a treat? Replace the greek yogurt with 1 scoop of low fat frozen yogurt. I use President’s Choice Blue Menu brand and it tastes almost identical to Breyers Ice cream. This treat is perfect as an afternoon snack.
